We provide guidance on the general application of the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU to your product – particularly regarding scope, product types, threshold values, and possible exemptions. In doing so, we also consider potential overlaps with related regulations such as the AwSV, for applications involving substances hazardous to water, and point out which regulations take precedence in your specific case.

Classification & module selection
We support you in classifying your pressure equipment in accordance with the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU.
Based on pressure, volume, medium, and equipment category, we assist you in selecting a suitable conformity module (e.g., Module A, B, C1, D, etc.) – compliant with standards, traceable, and well-documented.

Support with PMA (Particular Material Appraisal)
We help you assess whether a PMA is required for your material or whether it is already covered by a harmonized standard – such as EN 13121 for GRP.
If a PMA is necessary, we support you in identifying the required evidence, preparing it in a traceable manner, and creating a documentation submission that meets the requirements of the Pressure Equipment Directive.
With our guidance and technical support, you will create a traceable and compliant PMA documentation – suitable for the recognition of your material within the conformity assessment procedure.

Consulting on risk analysis and quality management
We advise you on conducting a sound risk assessment in accordance with the requirements of the PED – practical, traceable, and well-documented. In doing so, we build on your existing expertise.

In addition, we support you in developing or further refining quality assurance processes – with the goal of aligning existing or planned quality management systems with the requirements of the PED.
